During the 2024 NALP Elevate conference, landscape industry leaders came together to make a lasting impact. Through the collaboration of Weathermatic, McFarlin Stanford, The Grow Group and Unlimited Labor Solutions, the Cocktails for a Cause charity event shattered the initial goal of $3,500, raising $42,000 to support clean water initiatives in Latin America.
With funds supporting the construction of wells as part of Weathermatic’s “Save Water. Give Life” initiative, not just one, but 12 Latin American communities — totaling more than 2,500 people — will now have access to clean, safe water with twelve new wells. This success was made possible by the passion and generosity of the sponsors and attendees and a last-minute matching donation that doubled the impact.
“We’re overwhelmed by the spirit of our community to raise money and honor our friend Brodie Bruner,” said Chris Psencik, principle at McFarlin Stanford. “This event proved that together, we can create lasting change not just in our industry, but in the lives of others around the world.”
“Thank you to the 60 donors who supported Weathermatic’s “Save Water. Give Life” initiative during NALP Elevate,” said Weathermatic president Lex Mason. “Our industry has an opportunity to change the way that water is managed, and that includes providing clean drinking water to communities in great need. We are committed to honoring Brodie’s legacy and reaching our goal of building 500 wells.”
Weathermatic, McFarlin Stanford, The Grow Group and Unlimited Labor Solutions thank all who contributed and look forward to next year’s event to continue building on this inspiring milestone.
